About me

I am 28 years old, married to my husband Adam, who is a professional photographer and together we have 3 wonderful children. In 2008 our eldest started full time school and through my enjoyment of caring for children I decided to become a childminder. I genuinely love caring for children - helping nurture and develop them. How they play, explore and learn fascinates me. I am a staunch believer in the new EYFS structure and my practice reflects this.

I have lived in the Newbury area all of my life. I have a fun, loving and bubbly nature with a great sense of humour. Should I ever find any spare time I enjoy watching a good film, listening to cheesy music or even reading the odd novel (especially with a bar of Galaxy to hand!)

From a young age I have always had an interest in history and love learning about Tudor England.

In the future I would love to be a either a family support worker or even a midwife, though these are on hold for many years until our children are much older.

My Role

I see my role as being to provide a normal daily routine and environment incorporating all the things a child would ordinarily encounter with their parents, such as walks, visits to friends, attendance of toddler groups or school, stimulating play, craft and visits to local shops and parks.

I also aim to develop them socially, physically, intellectually and emotionally by means of age and stage appropriate toys, activities and outings.
